Belmont Wesley Fellowship is the United Methodist campus ministry at Belmont University and a Faith Development Organization affiliated with University Ministries.
Join us for community events, fellowship over meals, opportunities to be in Christian service, and group study of scripture and faith questions.
Celebration of Holy Communion and Scripture Study
Belmont Wesley Fellowship is meeting TONIGHT in McWhorter 408 @ 7pm. It’s almost Thanksgiving Break and the papers/exams are in full gear for some. The days are long and the schedule is busy-come join us for time together as a Christian community that worships together, breaks bread together, and studies scripture for relevance and meaning.
Tonight we’ll continue our study working through the Gospel of John (John 12:1-8, 13:1-7).
“For I have set you an example, that you also should do as I have done to you.“~Jesus C.
Prayer Focus: For the remainder of November and December, Belmont Wesley’s prayer focus is for those who are hungry in the Belmont neighborhood.
“God, you are the Bread of Life. We see our neighbors who are hungry and know there are so many more we do not see. Lead us to hear the groans of hunger and stir in us a willingness to show that you fill hungry people. Amen.”
Back from NEXT!
Morgan, Olivia, Chris, and Adam are back from the NEXT Conference in St. Louis. Check out pics from the weekend including a visit to the zoo and a concert with Gungor. We spent the weekend imagining the future of BWF and the church, hearing about the work of students across the U.S. fighting sex trafficking, facilitating interfaith dialogue, and planting new communities of faith. Ask us about it!
Rev. Anastasia Kidd from Boston University School of Theology will be visiting students at Belmont University. If you sense a call to ministry, are planning on theological education after graduation, or generally interested in hearing about ministry and higher education, join us! More details to come on where to find Anastasia and Adam on Monday, December 3rd.
Room in the Inn-Save the Date
On Nov 2, BWF had a great night of serving dinner and building relationships with homeless guests through Room in the Inn at Belmont United Methodist Church. Save the date for the new year on Friday, February 22nd as BWF serves again at Room in the Inn.
