Belmont Wesley Fellowship
A place of God’s free grace!

Monthly Prayer Focus:

As October nears its end next week, Belmont Wesley continues to emphasize compassion for students who are bullied on campus or the victims of violence. We invite you for the last week of October to pray for fellow university students who are bullied, harassed, or victims of violence.

“O God, we seek your grace and compassion for our fellow student neighbors who are harassed because of who they are or who they hope to be. Teach us God to be signs of your love to those who hurt. Amen”

Monday Night Prayer Service and Scripture Study:

BWF gathers each Monday night of the semester at 7pm in McWhorter Room 408 for an evening prayer service, celebration of Holy Communion, and scripture study. This semester we’re studying the Gospel of John asking ‘Who is Jesus?’ ‘What is Jesus doing?’ ‘Where is Jesus going?’

Bring a Bible and invite a friend for an evening of community, devotion, prayer, and worship including Holy Communion.

TonightOctober 22nd, our scripture study will focus on John 10:11-14. Pastor Adam will share a reflection on the power of these verses in times of despair or crisis.

“I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.”~John 10:11

“The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures; he leads me beside still waters.”~Psalm 23:1-2

Project Transformation Internship and Convocation

On November 5th, Belmont Wesley is hosting Project Transformation for a Spiritual Formation Convocation. Project Transformation Tennessee is a 8 week long summer reading program for underserved neighborhoods in Nashville led by young adults. One major component of Project Transformation is vocational discernment for the young adult interns. To see more of Project Transformation’s ministry, check out this video.

The convocation will be a time to hear the life changing stories of college students and church leaders who lead summer reading camps for underserved children in Nashville. Visit Project Transformation Tennessee’s website for internship information.
