An Invitation to Pour Out

Christ Jesus,
who, though he was in the form of God,
did not regard equality with God
   as something to be exploited,
but emptied himself,
taking the form of a slave,
   being born in human likeness.
~Philippians 2:5-7

Join us tonight at 7pm (April 1st-THIS IS NOT A JOKE-we are meeting tonight) in University Ministries for Bible study led by freshman Hayden Rutledge, fellowship, and good music. We’ll spend time with the Christ Hymn from Philippians 2:1-18.

  • Where do you see others pouring themselves out for the work of justice, compassion, and love?

  • How do you empty yourself of pride and an inflated sense of self?

  • When do you humble yourself to do the things God dreams for you?

  • What does it mean to you and your neighbors that Jesus is fully God and fully human?

  • Do you wonder if Jesus had to be ‘obedient to the point of death?’
